When Men Follow Their Own Will and the Money

John 7:14-20 is a reminder that the Messiah is not kidding about the words and deeds we are to say and do. "14 …but when it was now the midst of the Feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 The people then were astonished, saying, “How has this man become learned, having never been educated?” 16 So Yeshua answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sent Me.  17 If anyone's will is to do GOD’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from GOD or whether I am speaking on My own authority.  18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of Him Who sent Him, is True, and in Him there is no falsehood.  19 Has not Moses given you the Law [GOD’s Instructions]? Yet none of you keeps [watches over, guards or preserves] the Torah [Laws GOD gave]. Why do you seek to kill Me?"

Consider a few of the Words the Lord spoke to the crowd [James’ emphasis added]:

JESUS SAID: “My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any one of you was living according to the purpose and determination that your ELOHIM said, that same man would already know whether this Teaching is from Him or whether I am speaking on My own authority.”  

One of the problems we men have is, that we stand against the Truth of GOD spoken through His Son. We get blinded and irritated that we twist and distort His Words to make them try to fit what we want people to believe. After a while, we start to believe in the deception ourselves. This messiness sways those sheep away and/or confuses them in such a way that they wander or become absent from the sheepfold.  

Some “preachers” and Ezekiel 34 “shepherds” read the scriptures and turn and preach something that does not match up with what was just read.  

YESHUA SAID: “The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of Him Who sent Him, is True, and in Him there is no falsehood.”

We have taken the Hebrew Scriptures and made them Greek [Romanized] or English and misused the context and entire purpose in which They were given. This Word that we have transliterated and tried to translate was given to the people delivered from slavery and set-up to be free, by living according to it. We were grafted into because of it, by faith. We can’t and are not allowed to pick and choose what we want to share and believe.

ADONAI is quite clear about this in His Messages to us. Jesus is for life resurrection, not life destruction. 

When did He peddle the Besorah [glad tidings or good news] for money, fame, control, popularity, and #1 sellers of self-help books?  He spoke the Truth of Scripture, from His Father and the Holy Spirit.

What are we doing?! What have we done?!  

JESUS SAID: "Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it, for whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” –John 5:19

JESUS SAID: “…but when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the Truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” –John 16:13

I am not at all certain that hirelings of today are able to say they are in this to love and feed the sheep and obedience of a call. GOD, the Father, showed His Son how to walk after Him. His Son chose to obey.

The Holy Spirit of GOD taught the Son how to speak and led Him where to go.

The Words we speak should be those that build and help the sheep, tearing down the old temple (of self) to help facilitate the reconstruction of that old temple into the new one GOD is building in us all.

GOD's Words will verify and validate the lifestyle you pursue and live. Neither Man, nor religion, can dispute or cancel out the Love and Truth that springs from the life of a submitted follower of the Son of the Most High.

If we are not of GOD, our words WILL betray us, our lifestyles WILL burn up like stubble in fire. Your glory is not truly glorious. It is a poor effort. The seeds sown will not reproduce a good crop. "If you seek your own prestige and/or accolades from man, those will be the only reward you will receive."
