Did Jesus Fulfill the Law?
1. “Law” – English language Dictionary’s Law is a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority. It is a rule, usually made by a government, that is used to order the way in which a society behaves. Law refers to the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people, whether in the form of legislation or of custom and policies recognized and enforced by judicial decision.
2. “Law” – Religious men’s definition when he is trying to make a point of persuasion to enhance his own position – denomination and the often (Swiss Cheese) doctrine that supports it. A phrase used in regularly is, “It is done away with”, or “not for today.” Many portions of the Bible have been cherry-picked through and over to try to support a position that is usually not worth the attempt.
We can see where sections of Scripture are pulled right of its original context to work a whole new attempt of meaning given to it to form a different purpose.
3. “Law” – GOD’s actual Hebrew meaning in the language it was given. In Hebrew, the word for Law is “Torah” (תורה). While it does encompass legal principles, it also includes religious teachings, moral guidance, and cultural traditions -- Other synonyms for defining the Law of GOD are: Direction, Word, Guidance and Instructions.
The intent of this post is to show that most Christians have learned and are living much of the Torah, but didn't know it was from the Law to begin with. In everything, there are levels: buildings, houses, steps, business hierarchy and sports. Many of us never gave a thought about the different levels of Scripture.
Each level grants the reader, and one who studies access into the multiple portals of Almighty GOD, thus, they will have embarked upon a higher level of understanding. Some followers of the Torah of the Bible believe that the entire community in Israel was versed in the annual teachings form of spiritual instruction that starts in Genesis and goes through Deuteronomy each year.
This is the most basic level of teaching of the (4). This not only fulfills the requirements of learning the Torah (heart of GOD) but lends itself to a better understanding of the remaining (61) books of the Bible, as we study them. If one really takes a deeper look at the other (61) books, they will see and notice that everyone from Matthew to Revelation referred to the previous (39) books and the previous (39).
Five (5) of those (39) books are called the Law of Moses. The latter (27) are just commentary of the earlier (39).
During the days of Yeshua's (Jesus') years of obedient service, He transformed humanity. The Messiah didn't come teaching the basics of the Torah. He arrived to put meat on the bones that many folks of the day were leaving behind. That kinda sounds like the folks of today.
Followers of Jesus (Yeshua), pick those bones clean. Don’t leave any meat on them. There is too much to know and understand about our King to whole-heartedly trust a man and his many denominational biases.
Wise men still seek Him.
